Product Description
Our Type IV All-Metal Full Contour restorations are known for their great strength and exceptional durability and are suitable for full-metal crowns, short and long span bridges, inlays, onlays, telescope crowns, and root canal posts. Distinctive Dental Studio, Ltd takes great care in selecting metals made entirely in the U.S.A. We use the highest quality alloys (Beryllium and Nickel free) from The Argen Corporation.
DDS, Ltd. primarily Mills or Selective Laser Melts (SLM) All-Metal Full Contour restorations because they offer better fit as well as improved consistency and accuracy over full cast restorations; however, on occasion due to quick-turnaround time constraints, casting is necessary. Because the composition varies slightly from a milled or SLM all-metal crown vs. a traditional full cast crown, please see the Alloy Material Specifications below for composition.
We offer the following Type IV (extra hard) alloys:
- White Non-Precious Base (61% cobalt)
- White Noble (semi-precious 20% platinum, 5.7% ruthenium)
- White High Noble (40% gold)
- Yellow High Noble (58% gold)
To classify as a high noble metal, at least 60% of its composition must be gold, platinum, palladium, and silver noble metals. Of that 60%, at least 40% of that percentage must be gold. For Noble at least 25% must be noble metal and Base less than 25% noble metal.
With each case, Distinctive Dental Studio, Ltd. will include an IDENTALLOY® CERTIFICATE certifying the dental casting alloy we used to fabricate the prosthesis. The certificate may then be attached to the patient record.
While earning Argen® Digital's Certificate of Excellence for their Digital Certification program, Distinctive Dental Studio, Ltd. is also proud to have earned their Expert ranking.
