Procera® Tooth Preparation

For Procera® restorations, a tooth preparation of the chamfer type is the optimum choice. The preparation design is analogous to the architecture of the natural tooth.
- Chamfer preparation is characterized by thinned margins and a cutting with rounded inner angles and edges.
- To attain optimum adaptation, the occlusal surfaces of posterior teeth should have a relatively flat surface topography.
- When it comes to preparation depth, the veneering potential of Procera® AllCeram permits a variation in preparation depth of between 0.8-1.5 mm.
- For occlusal surfaces in general, and for Procera® AllTitan in particular, the same reduction is recommended as for metal ceramics, depending on the clinical situation.
