At Distinctive Dental Studio, Ltd., our dental technicians follow detailed prescriptions, provided by dentists, to create dental prostheses for patients. These technicians construct dental appliances or restorations such as dentures, crowns, and bridges, to replace natural teeth lost because of disease, wear or accident. Each appliance is hand crafted to exact specifications to fit the dental patient. Technicians work with plaster, porcelain, wax, gold, silver, and various other metals to form an intricate prostheses that fits only one person.

The field of dental technology is expanding, and the need for dental technicians is growing. This is largely due to the rapidly increasing population in the 45 - 64 age bracket, and the growing demand for cosmetic dentistry to improve personal appearance. This means excellent career opportunity, job security, and earning potential for the dental technician.

If you have good problem-solving skills, hand to eye coordination, manual dexterity, a creative nature, and enjoy working in fine detail, DDS may have a career for you. Previous dental tech experience is not required for our on the job training program. In addition to laboratory positions, DDS employs quality personnel in the areas of data entry, shipping and receiving, customer service, and support positions.
